As it was nearing time for me to send my daughter to school, I started doing research on
the near by schools and the system of education which we should follow for her. Initially I
was feeling bad that I should send my daughter to school at such an early stage. She was
only 2 years and 10 months. Ask me, its a very young age for her to go and do schooling.

Lot much research and learnings proved me wrong. And I am happy that I have put her in a
Montessori school of children. This school , rather, House of Children , is very near to my
house and I was really impressed the first time I was there. The Aunty there demonstrated
the activities which they will be following in the school curiculam. I was impressed by their
way, but was not convinced as to how the children will follow it.

Hence I went forward with the research. When ever I got time, I browsed the net and
started collecting information about Montessori system. Every day , I was excited to see
the vastness and the effectiveness of this system and within one week I was able to see
the changes in my daughter. Everyday she will be learning one new art which she will be
demonstrating it in the house.

Initially she started with rolling a mat. They have a small "activity mat" which they use
while doing some "activity". Activity is the name they say for some steps which they follow
for a thing to be done. For example, they will be given a thread and some beads. They
have to sit and put all the beads in the thread. This is one activity. On the second day, my
daughter was depicting how this need to be done. Then I realize that I should provide her
some environment at home.

I got information from some good sites and started giving her soem activity at home.
To my surprise, she was doing the same things which she does at school. SHe was so
patient enough to sit and do the things. It was a moment of joy for us to see her doing all those
things. Now at times, she will be the teacher and my mother will be the student . She will
enact as the teacher and will show all that what the teacher does. Its really fun to watch
her doing those things.

I read , these activities make brian development, improves concentration and also develop
motor skills for the kids. I am happy that in this system, the little ones are not forced to do
anythign which they are not ready for. No pressure and no forcing. They are free to do
what they want. And according to their willingness they go to the next level. My research
continues in this area and i feel I am also learning so many things doing so.
